MEET THE TEAM
Welcome to our 5 ½ acres
We got some interesting specimens around that we thought you would like to meet.
Everyone has its role to play and takes it very seriously.
On the Farm, Emilie mainely takes care of the ground crops. She grows a large variety of vegetables from April to October and loves her long winter break.
Designated "mower" (after Nute and Ripley, of course), she assists Eric in the Orchard.
She also takes care of the Barred Plymouth Rock heritage layers who rotate in her field after crops have been harvested to clean it.
She's definitely the smile of the house and a great dishwasher!
As a field assistant for the local organic tree fruits consulting company, Eric is the perfect person to take care of our quarter acre orchard and its 24 different varieties of fruits & nuts.
He also raises a French heritage breed of sheep for meat and helps taking care of our Barred Plymouth Rock heritage layers by raising black soldiers flies to feed them.
All the bed flowers around the house are his doing and he is the official cook of the house.
Don't look for him in the morning, you won't find him. Except on Market day, when he puts his best suit on.
Friend on site
Long time friend, Sarah lives on the Farm with us and is always happy to give us a hand when things get out of control.
NUTE & RIPLEY
The beautiful Ripley and the shy Nute are our official mowers and soon enough meat reproducers. Fenced at night, they wonder around during the day. If you find our gate close, it's to make sure their freedom doesn't bring them to the street.
Princess of the farm
She is convinced to have royal blood and acts accordingly. Friendliest cat you'll ever meet (if you like to be jumped on). Great pocket gopher's hunter when she is not to busy supervising he vegetables production.
